New details are coming out after the parents of a 10-year-old killed in a jet ski accident during a summer camp put on by the Boy Scouts of America filed a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit against the organization.

Jack Gear died in July at a camp in the Boxwell Reservation in Nashville, according to WTVF-TV.

In a newly-revised lawsuit, attorneys for his parents, Crystalyn and Xson Gear, alleged several other incidents of reckless behavior at the camp.

Staffers are accused of operating jet skis at a high rate of speed and making sudden, sharp turns, in an effort to throw kids off the back of the watercraft, according to court documents, the outlet reported. Staff members are also accused of jumping wakes from other jet skis.

Jack was riding as a passenger on the back of a jet ski when it struck another, killing him and injuring the 19-year-old camp counselor driver.

The parents are seeking a multi-million dollar payout for the physical pain and suffering for their son's death.

The Boy Scouts Middle Tennessee Council said the victim was part of a National Guard family and was participating in the Tennessee National Guard's annual Youth Development Week when he died.
