Justin Timberlake previously pleaded not guilty to DWI in June. Press Release

Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty to a non-criminal offense at a Long Island courthouse Friday and is getting away with a reduced charge and perhaps community service as punishment in connection to the DWI he received earlier this summer while in the Hamptons.

The judge downgraded the charge from DWI to driving while ability impaired.

Timberlake is also expected to pay a fine, though the amount has not yet been determined, as well as make a public statement on why people shouldn't drink and drive.

He's also looking at 25-40 hours of community service, to which he told the judge he's willing to do the time.

The former NSYNC member was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons resort community on New York's Long Island June 18.

According to police, Timberlake ran a stop sign and failed a field sobriety test.

He had previously pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated.
