Donald Trump just caught a major break in the Georgia election fraud case after a judge moved to toss out three more of the 13 counts against the former President, according to multiple reports.
Trump now faces eight counts.
"President Trump and his legal team in Georgia have prevailed once again," Trump's attorney Steve Sadow said in a statement obtained by ABC News. "The trial court has decided that counts 15 and 17 in the indictment must be quashed/dismissed."
Counts 15 and 17 correspond to conspiracy to commit filing false documents and conspiracy to commit forgery, respectively, according to the indictment reviewed by the Lawyer Herald.
Judge Scott McAfee previously threw out three other counts against Trump.
The Republican presidential candidate and 18 other co-defendants, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former chief of staff Mark Meadows, are accused of trying to overturn the 2020 election in the state of Georgia, the documents read.
They pleaded not guilty.
Trump previously slammed the investigation led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as politically motivated.
