A new tip in the frantic search for missing Virginia mom Mamta Bhatt might be the break police have been desperately seeking.

"We recently had an individual come forward with information that was helpful in the case," Manassas Park police announced in a Facebook callout requesting more leads from the public Tuesday.

Police added they are seeking information from anyone who spoke to Mamta's husband and prime suspect, Naresh Bhatt, specifically between July 28 and Aug. 5.

Mamta, 28, was last seen alive July 27.

Bhatt, 37, of Manassas Park, Virginia, has been charged with concealing a dead body in connection with her disappearance.

He has not yet entered a plea to the charge.

Bhatt was arrested in mid-August, three weeks after Mamta disappeared, following an initial search of the couple's home during which traces of blood were allegedly discovered by investigators.

Investigators said forensic evidence indicated Mamta's body was dragged out of the home she shared with her husband and their 1-year-old daughter, WTTG-TV previously reported, citing court documents.

Bhatt will appear for a motion hearing Friday, one week after a judge authorized his request for a speedy trial.

He remains held without bond and a motive remains under investigation.

Speaking with WUSA-TV before his arrest last month, Bhatt claimed he was in distress over Mamta's disappearance.

"I'm the one who is suffering," he said at the time. "She is my baby's mom. She is my wife."
