Chile fans cause havoc on 300 buses during wild party in Santiago celebrating Spain victory

Chile fans could be considered to be among the rowdiest fans in this year's World Cup. Just hours after 85 fans had charged the media center at the Maracanã Stadium, damaging the facility walls and equipment in the process, a party in Santiago's Plaza Italia turned to the worst when supported poured through the streets in their continued celebration of the national team's win against reigning champion Spain, the Guardian reported.

The street celebrations led to several fires and damage to a reported 300 city buses. The havoc caused by the rowdy celebrations forced the city government to issue a huge clean-up operation, with a massive swarm of office workers and locals in team colors cleaning up the mess.

On the other hand, Chile's win against Spain was a positive thing for businessmen, as shares in both the country's biggest winemaker and brewery had risen to over 3%.

The national government has since issued a request to Chileans to stop having World Cup barbecues in order to contain the growing smog problem in the country. However, it did not stop all of Chile to celebrate its win against Spain, which caused the reigning champion to get kicked out of the tournament and snag the World Cup championship.

Government official Claudio Orrego told the Guardian, "When we have low winds and we're at critical levels what we are saying is that people should avoid burning charcoal because that makes the air quality worse. I've been the butt of a lot of jokes for this and I take it with humor, but I also urge people to take it seriously."

Apart from the general public and national politicians, even porn stars have joined in the festivities. RT said that Chilean native Marlen Doll has recently announced that she would be celebrating her country's win in the World Cup with a 16-hour session. The porn star has earlier conducted a similar session for 12 hours after Chile's earlier win against Australia.
