FBI agents raided the homes of two of New York City Mayor Eric Adams' top aides, according to multiple reports.

Investigators searched the residences belonging to First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III, Wednesday, according to NBC News.

Evidence, including electronics, were seized as part of the raid.

The motive for investigation remains unclear.

"Investigators have not indicated to us the mayor or his staff are targets of any investigation," City Hall attorney, Lisa Zornberg, said in a statement, the network reported. "As a former member of law enforcement, the mayor has repeatedly made clear that all members of the team need to follow the law."

An undisclosed source said the searches do not appear to be in connection with the investigation into whether Adams accepted money from Turkey in exchange for official favors, according to WABC-TV.

No charges have been filed.
