The popularity that Samsung once held in the US has plummeted to a devastating #49 placement. Evidence suggests it is because of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 dilemma.
In the past year of 2016, Samsung has had to deal with a great amount of difficulties. From switches in the company to to fault equipment, Samsung has been receiving quite the backlash from its consumers. With the recent survey taken for the company's reputation in the United States, things will only seem to become more and more difficult for the company ever since the explosive Note 7 fiasco.
Android Authority claims that Samsung's plummet on the US reputation survey was staggering, coming down to #49 out or 100 companies. This is an alarming piece of information considering that just three years ago in 2015, the company was one of the top three. In 2016, however, it had dropped to #7, and is now facing an all-time low in its reputation ranking since the Note 7 fiasco.
Faulty equipment that endangers the lives of consumers by having their batteries catch on fire all of a sudden is one thing, but Samsung needs to realize that this makes a whole different issue in other countries, especially to the United States, as per Tech Times. Any entry above the score of 80 on the survey was considered to have excellent quality, and while having a score of 75.17 may be good to many, the drop from where it was a couple of years ago is staggering.
Samsung's plummet to #49 on the US reputation survey due to the Note 7 fiasco does not bode well nor does it promise that things will be easier in the future considering that having to recall one of their devices worldwide not once but twice is not easy for any smartphone company despite the loyalty of the company's fans.
