Why House Intel Chairman Devin Nunes Pointing a Finger at the FBI

By Jared Feldschreiber

House Intel Chairman Devin Nunes pointing a finger at the FBI why the phone of the former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was tapped that led to his resignation. The Intelligence community was also accused by President Trump of having interference with the phone tapping.

Nunes also said that he won't open an investigation with Michael Flynn's alleged conversation with a Russian diplomat. But he is more concerned to the alleged FBI recording conversation of Flynn. He said he expects for the FBI to tell him what is going on, and they better have a good answer, according to the Washington Post. He also said that the big problem he sees is that there is an American citizen who had his phone calls recorded.

The said Nunes action how he treated the alleged conversation of Flynn to a Russian diplomat and his putting the blame to FBI is a strategy to divert the attention of American people from alleged interference of Russia to the recent U.S. election and attend FBI alleged phone tapping activities, as being meant by Jane Chong in the Law Fare.

Nunes idea may have been taken from Breitbart, an alt-right publication that published a full story of political espionage made by nation's intelligence services against the newly-elected government. According to Lawfare it is improper for Nunes to focus much attention to the alleged phone tapping by the FBI, which is just a normal routine of their work, and disregard the safety of America from foreign threats.

Another factor for Nunes's action with the issue and why he's pointing finger at the FBI instead is his strong support with Michael Flynn as manifested in his comment with Flynn during the selection for national security adviser post. According to Washington Post Nunes said during that time that Flynn is a guy who has the president's trust, has credentials with the military, credentials with the intelligence community and credibility with Congress, he's a very serious person and takes his job very seriously.

Nunes reportedly completely opposed what he had just said last spring as declared on CNN, that the biggest intelligence shortcoming America has had since 9/11 has been the failure to predict the leadership plans and intentions of the Putin regime in Russia. The real issue which Nunes is avoiding is the Putin seemingly involvement of Trump's victory. Thus, pointing finger at the FBI would drag away from the issue.

In connection to this, the Congress announced yesterday from the heads of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Richard Burr and Sen. Mark R. Warner that the committee's continuing probe must include any contacts made by any campaign individuals that might have happened with Russian government officials. This announcement came just after New York Times posted the news that members of Trump's campaign and other Trump associates have repeated communication with senior Russian intelligence officials last year.
