Donald Trump Attacks Judiciary: Why His CEO-Style Presidency Won’t Work in Government

By

President Donald Trump attacks the judiciary system as many judges have blocked his travel ban regarding the immigrants in the United States. As a former CEO and a business giant, Trump's corporate strategy will never work on the government.

The president started his lambast against the judiciary by criticizing U.S. District Court Judge James Robart, calling him as a "so-called judge." Donald Trump is enraged against the judicial branch of the government because of the temporary halt to the immigration law decreed weeks ago. Robart have three more judges supporting his back with the case he made, Independent reported.

As it went to show, Donald Trumps's corporate strategy won't work on the US Government. Being a business CEO, no one can go against his decision. He was used to being the final word on every case he make. However, the government is divided into three different branches - executive, legislative and judiciary - all with equal powers to exercise and has the right and authority to contradict the other if deemed necessary.

The immigration ban was deemed unconstitutional, especially for those who are familiar with the clause of the law who are the judges themselves. If the case is to be taken to the Supreme Court, the body can overturn the President's decree, ending to Donald Trump's loss. Currently, there are four judges on the court appointed by the president. And with eight judges in total, Trump can only hope for a 4-4 decision which can make his case intact.

Donald Trump is not the first president to be furious against the judicial branch. Past presidents have encountered this scenario one way or the other. No matter how noble the cause is, if an equal power goes against the decision, there's no way around but to settle the case legally.

Regarding the President's remarks, Sen. Richard Blumenthal quotes Judge Gorsuch commenting on the Trump's attack against judges as "disheartening" and "demoralizing," Politifact reported.
