iOS 10.2.1 has just been released a few backs and an iOS 10.3 is already in the works. The latest update is already in beta stage and available to public beta testers.
According to iPhone Hacks, Apple already closed the signing window for iOS 10.2, which means that downgrading from iOS 10.2.1 or iOS 10.3 back to iOS 10.2 is no longer possible. The good news is that a jailbreak for 10.2.1 and iOS 10.3 will be available. The Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10.2 has already been released for 64-bit devices. For owners of the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, jailbreaking their OS is only possible if their devices are running on iOS 10.1 or 10.1.1.
Once released to the public, iOS 10.3 will be packed with a lot of features. As reported by Yahoo, the new OS was expected to come with a "theater mode" which lets users switch their iPhone or iPad to a dark mode. Unfortunately, this feature will be integrated in the Apple Watch. In addition, iOS 10.3 will come with a new profile section at the top of the screen where they can find information such as their contact info, security settings, payment details, and others.
A report that appeared in CNet revealed that iOS 10.3 will also feature an iCloud storage breakdown. Users will be able to determine the amount of iCloud storage they are using. They simple have to click on the iCloud option in the new profile section.
As of now, Apple has not revealed the official release date for iOS 10.3. So anything can still change and the final version may still come with the "theater mode" or any other features which Apple would want to launch before the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. Apple will make more announcements as the event approaches.
