By

The Under Armour alter ego is revealing a side of the company that its athletes don't like, which is its support for President Donald Trump. Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank isn't afraid to show his support for President Trump/

According to Bloomberg, Plank expressed his support for trump saying that he's "a real asset for the country." However, a number of athletes under the Under Armour banner didn't like Plank's statement.

Actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson strongly disagrees with Plank's statements saying that "His words were divisive." This reveals the Under Armour alter ego to what the company originally stands for.

"Leaders are supposed to inspire people, not divide and disband.", Johnson added. It's not just Johnson who strongly disagrees with this Trump supporting Under Armour alter ego statements.

Ballet dancer Misty Copeland said that she "strongly" disagrees with Plank's pro Trump statement. Copeland has been a prominent figure within the Under Armour advertisement banner.

The ballet dancer stressed the importance of "diversity and inclusion" as she hopes that the company would promote "inclusivity" instead of being divisive.

Even Stephen Curry, one of the company's biggest asset, disapproves Plank's comments on Trump being an asset for the country. Curry's sneaker line under the Under Armour brand has garnered a lot of success. This shows how much the pro Trump Under Armour alter ego is hurting its branding.

As Johnson stated, it's hurting the very beliefs of a company that's suppose to inspire and unite instead of divide. Reports suggest that this isn't just hurting Under Armour's PR image, it's also costing the company's value.

According to CNN, Under Armour's stock shares plummeted in early trading Tuesday. Under Armour's stock shares went down by 25 percent, this marks as the company's worst one-day drop in its history.

The report mentioned that the company's CFO is stepping down from his position for "personal reasons." This indicates that Under Armour's current state is in jeopardy. The pro Trump Under Armour alter ego of its CEO does not seem to be helping the company's current state as well.
