WWE News: Status Of Seth Rollins Injury To Be Known; Match With Triple H At Wrestlemania 33 Unlikely

By

It looks like the planned match between Triple H and Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 33 will have to wait awhile. The latter has sustained an injury that will sideline him for at least 8 weeks.

In last week's edition of Monday Night Raw, Rollins was attacked by Samoa Joe, who was making his long awaited debut in the main roster. A report that appeared in Fansided revealed that during this segment, "The Architect" reinjured the right knee that sidelined him for a long time. A video shown at the end of the conclusion of Raw showed Rollins leaving in crutches fueling speculations that he is indeed injured.

While many wondered whether the injury was just part of a storyline. However, Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin confirmed that Rollins' injury was not part of a work and that the former WWE champion is set to have a meeting with doctors in the coming weeks. According to reports that appeared in Cageside Seats, Rollins has indeed flown to Alabama to meet with his doctors.

With his latest injury, many people doubt his availability for Wrestlemania 33 slated on April 2. According to The Inquistr, Rollins is still expected to make regular appearances in Monday Night Raw while he is recuperating from his injury. If Rollins indeed does not make it, it will be the second time that he will miss "The Show of Shows." His injury back in November 2015 caused him to be unable to compete in Wrestlemania 32.

In the event that "The Architect" is unable to compete, the WWE is preparing backup plans for Wrestlemania 33. Potential replacements that the company is considering include Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and Samoa Joe himself.

And while his injury has been confirmed, the WWE Universe are still hoping that Rollins will indeed recover in time for Wrestlemania 33.
