Xiaomi To Reveal Redmi Note 4X On Feb 14, Alongside New Brand Ambassador

Xiaomi isn't shy when it comes to revealing their upcoming smartphones. Their latest offering, the Redmi Note 4x will release on Feb 14 just 6 months after the launch of its predecessor.

Xiaomi made the announcement via their official forum miui.com. The announcement teases the supposed improvements on the Redmi Note 4x. Included among the improvements and changes are the camera, processor and body. The specific changes will be discussed further in a launch event that will coincide with the release of the Redmi Note 4x.

Meanwhile, gadgets 360 has the latest scoop on the supposed improvements for the Redmi Note 4X. The new smartphone is expected to have a 5.5" full-HD display powered by a 2GHz deca-core CPU which is assumed to be the MediaTek Helio X20 SoC (some countries might have different processors like the Snapdragon 654). Redmi Note 4X will also feature 4GB of RAM with options of 2GB and 3GB. Storage will range from 16GB, 32GB and 64GB with the option the expand via microSD slot that supports up to 32GB of memory.

In terms of the body, the Redmi Note 4x is expected to be at 151x76.3x8.54mm which is slightly thicker than the Redmi Note 4. It will weigh at 176.54 grams which again is slightly heavier than its previous version. The smartphone will also sport a 13 megapixel camera, with a 4000mAh battery and fingerprint sensor at the back.

A new Xiaomi brand ambassador will also be revealed alongside te Redmi Note 4X. This will be a first since the company does not rely on gimmicks to market their phones. It's also unclear what the partnership will entail, whether it'd be special edition phones or custom wallpapers is still up for discussion.

Although Digital Trends reports Xiaomi has given some clues on who will be the brand ambassador for Redmi Note 4X. Xiaomi says than an unexpected idol will introduce the new phone in a post on Weibo. The report suggests that there is a good chance that it will be virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.
