'Avengers: Infinity War' Casting Call Hints Interplanetary Travel; Characters Confirmed To Return

By

Recent "Avengers: Infinity War" casting call hints at the film taking place in multiple planets instead of the previous film's Earth-centered setting. The Marvel Cinematic Universe films already explored different locations outside of Earth, mostly evident in "Guardians of the Galaxy." However, past "The Avengers" films mostly takes place on our home planet.

This won't always be the case in the latest "Avengers Infinity War" film. According to Yahoo! News, a recent "Avengers Infinity War" casting call strongly suggests that Asgard will be one of the locations we'll be seeing in the upcoming superhero mashup film.

The reported casting call is in search for male extras specifically with long hair and beards. These types of characters are most prominently seen in Norse mythology and mostly inhabit Asgard.

Production designer Charles Woods even strengthened this theory further by confirming that the film takes place in "many, many new worlds." In an interview with Comicbook, woods mentioned that "Avengers Infinity War" won't be as "regurgitative" as Marvel's previous films.

Woods also detailed how "blown away" and "terrified" he was every time he turns a page on the film's script. This was due to the variety of the environments that the "Avengers" film will be exploring.

The production designer was "staggered" to find out the multiple worlds that he and his team will have to translate into the movie. After all, Josh Brolin's character Thanos is set to hunt down the infinity gems, in doing so, he has to travel across galaxies to find them.

Apart from the latest "Avengers Infinity War" casting call, there's already a list of confirmed characters who'll make an appearance on the movie. According to SlashFilm, Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk is confirmed to make a return.

Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Hawkeye and Vision will make an appearance as well. Most of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" main cast is also confirmed to show up based on the previous "Avengers Infinity War" casting call.. However, series staples such as Black Widow, Nick Fury, Ant Man, Sharon Carter, Hank Pym and Loki are yet to be confirmed.
