One of the most anticipated smartphone brands to grace the imminent Mobile World Congress is the Chinese tech behemoth Xiaomi Inc. With its incredible line up that may launch during the event such as Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Mi 5C, one would think that might be more than enough. That notion is now quashed as another entry may get unveiled in Barcelona this month, courtesy of the latest Weibo leak.
Phone Arena has reported that Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 has now surfaced on Chinese blogging website Weibo. Accordingly, the user who outed the information has claimed that the leaked image is legitimate and that it is an authentic product poster of the forthcoming device.
The product poster has revealed that Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will be coming in two variants. One of which is a premium version that will sport 6GB of random access memory (RAM) and 128GB of internal storage. The second variant is shown to come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of native storage. Deviating from its predecessor Xiaomi Redmi Pro, the upcoming devices will only be equipped with a single camera on their back. The unit's rear camera will sport a 12MP shooter along with a Sony IMX 362 sensor and a Dual Pixel autofocus.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 may also come with a full-HD 5.5-inch and OLED display. Meanwhile, both versions of the upcoming units may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 66x, a significant switch from its Redmi Pro's MediaTek support. On the other hand, the devices are also expected to be fueled by a beefed up battery of 4,500mAh. Notably, its predecessor only sported 4,050mAh battery.
Xiaomi unveiled Xiaomi Redmi Pro in 2015 in China. It offered an OLED display along with a dual camera set up at its back. It was powered by MediaTek Helio X20, as per Android Central.
