Ex UFC fighter Jason Miller, otherwise known as "Mayhem", was acquitted of multiple domestic violence charges after claiming that he was the victim.
Mixed martial artist "Mayhem" Miller is no stranger when it comes to facing the law head-on. The 36-year-old fighter had numerous run-ins with the law in the past, that mostly resulted in him getting arrested.
However, the results of his recent court case turned in his favor instead. According to ABC7, a judge in Orange County acquitted "Mayhem" of two felony counts of domestic battery charges and a misdemeanor charge of violating a protection order.
The former UFC star testified on court saying that he was just trying to defend himself against his Ex-girlfriend, Anna Stabile. Miller further explained that he taught Stabile MMA grappling choke techniques, which she used against him.
The Ex-UFC fighter claimed that his Ex-girlfriend ripped off his shirt, then proceeded to jump on his back and "choked" him. Miller is ecstatic after hearing the news that he was acquitted of the domestic violence charges.
"I feel tremendous, justice was served. The system worked", Miller added. For "Mayhem" this was considered a huge victory since he would have faced 5 years of jail time if convicted, according to LowKick.
"Mayhem" Miller had a long history of troubles with law enforcement. His cases involve assaulting police officers which includes spitting, throwing ceramic tiles and even threatening them with unconventional weapons, according to TheOrangeCountyRegister.
The notorious mixed martial artist was even involved with a stand-off with the police. The police had an arrest warrant for Miller but the Ex-UFC fighter resisted and even barricaded himself inside his house.
To make matters worse, Miller even live-tweeted the entire police stand-off event. While Miller dodged a possibly lengthy jail time, his legal troubles are far from over. "Mayhem" will be back in court after a month to face five other cases.
