'Switched At Birth' Season 5 Spoilers, News & Update: Final Season Brings Bay And Daphne Back Home

"Switched at Birth" is down to its fifth and final season. The family is all over the place where Daphne and Bay are in China. It starts right away with the two being called in for an emergency.

According to report in Heavy, the final season of "Switched at Birth" picks up 10 months from the previous one. Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Kaie Leclerc) are in china where they have stayed longer than planned. The girls are to rush on their way home because of a call about an emergency.

The call has been important for the girls since they rush and leave China behind. As they return, they right away are to adjust to a new mix of family and friends. It can be recalled that they went off to China in "Switched at Birth" Season 4. They planned to stay there for just a few weeks. However, their stay ended up longer which led to staying in the country for 10 months.

As the girls go back home because of the phone call, Daphne goes back to college and realizes that a lot has changed since she was away. Parade also reports that Bay is having the time of her life spending it with Travis (Ryan Lane). However, she gets caught up in the confusion because of her feelings towards Emmett (Sean Berdy) who also has his own personal struggles in "Switched at Birth" Season 5.

In the same report, Lerlerc and Marano share their thoughts on the series which hit its 100th episode. Leclerc shares that being in "Switched at Birth's" final season feels like graduating. It is getting a diploma and heads off after to a new life. On the other hand, Marano shares that the series teaches how one can choose ones path to life.

Meanwhile, now that "Switched at Birth" is on its final season, there are more challenges that the girls will encounter. A report from TV Guide hints that Emmett needs to figure out what he needs to do with his life this time.
