Simon Helberg, Jocelyn Towne Stand Against Immigrant Ban on SAG Red Carpet

Fans of the popular TV sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" will definitely recognize that Howard Wolowitz, one of the most beloved characters on the show, is played by Simon Helberg. Simon Helberg is quite the accomplished actor, being successful in the show as well as other ventures in his career, and is the husband of popular director and minor acctress Jocelyn Towne. With the uprising in today's news about President Donald Trump's executive orders regarding immigration, the couple have decided to band together and make their stance known on the SAG awards red carpet.

Variety reported the two made their debut as one of the couples making a political statement to protest Trump's executive orders that specifically ban seven countries that have a majority of people who follow the Muslim faith. With Jocelyn Towne having the words "Let them in" painted across her chest, Simon Helberg joins her with his own way or protest, fashioning a sign that says "Refugees Welcome". Siding with the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), Simon Helberg released a tweet rooting for them as they had recently won a case at a federal court in Brooklyn.

The Telegraph further states that Taylor Schilling, one of the stars on the hit Netflix series "Orange Is The New Black", speaks on behalf of the cast, stating, "We stand up here representing a diverse group of people, representing generations of families who have sought a better life here from places like Nigeria, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Ireland ... And we know that it's going to be up to us and all you, probably, to keep telling stories that show what unites us is stronger than the forces that divide us."

Of course, these are not the only celebrities that are banding together, as many people from The Writer's Guild of America as well as other actors are banning together to protest Trump's movements in the office. The two have clearly expressed their distaste for Trump's actions, and so other continue to ban together to protest as best they can against the new President's strategies for the country.
