Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande looking to file slander charges against Perez Hilton over cocaine claims

By

According to the Belfast Telegraph, pop singer Ariana Grande is preparing to file a lawsuit against celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton over claims that the 20 year-old is using cocaine. The issue came to be in a series of tweets by Perez earlier this week about Grande's cocaine use at a party.

"@ArianaGrande Are you okay? I heard someone saw you doing cocaine at a party! Stay away from drugs Ariana!!!" read Perez's first tweet about the drug use of the Nickelodeon star to his over six million followers on Thursday, the Irish paper said. The Daily Mail, who was able to capture all six tweets about the "Sam & Cat" TV series actress, showed that the blogger also reached out to the children's television network and the singer's brother, Frankie Grande.

Belfast Telegraph pointed to a Gossip Cop report that Grande was not pleased with the call-out, and reportedly has hired lawyers to sue Perez for the slander. Unnamed sources who were reportedly close to the singer, Gossip Cop said, claimed that the allegations made by Perez were all lies and were untrue. Another insider also quoted by the celebrity news site claimed that Perez's tweets was part of a plan to get back at the pop star for not agreeing to be her manager.

Grande also took to Twitter about her thoughts on Perez's career-damaging tweets. Referring to the collective name of her fans, her tweet read, "arianators, I know u don't like when ppl say bad things about me but please don't wish negativity upon any1. don't give up ur light, I love u. (sic)."

On Friday, Perez might have sensed the backlash he received from the allegations he made the day before. Posting a long, detailed statement regarding the situation surrounding his allegations about Grande on Instagram, he said he was upset about the heckling and the threats directed to him and his 12 year-old son from the singer's fans. Perez was also upset about Grande about not being able to control her fans.

"Even 12 year olds KNOW better than to wish death on a baby and say the disgusting things that 99% of her fans have been spamming my Instagram with. And, at this point, her silence on this matter is shameful. I had always supported and liked Ariana. Until now! Over her! And over her fans!" Perez stated.
