For the past several years, Samsung has been one of the top contenders in the smartphone world and even considered as the best brand for Android phones, and its Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was crowned as the best mobile phone for 2016.
According to Tech Radar, the South Korea-based company has also endured the dark times of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 - recalled from the market due to the exploding battery. Despite that, Samsung is still standing strong and will be announcing its next flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 in a few months.
Samsung will not be the only one that is expected to do a launch this year as the company be having some tough competitions from another manufacturer. Here are the top competitions for Samsung for the year 2017, according to iTech.
1. Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 7S And iPhone 7S Plus
For this year, Apple is rumored to release there different models - as the company is celebrating the brand's 10th year anniversary in the business. It is reported that Apple will be releasing a premium iPhone as its next flagship, for the mentioned event, and there would also be two regular iPhone as the successor to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
2. LG G6 And LG V30
LG G6 is bound for launching during MWC this coming February and this new model from LG will be having a 5.7-inch display and a glass metal body. Dual camera system along with an iris scanner also will be the main features for this phone and it is said to be waterproof. LG V30 however is still up in the air and there are no solid information just yet.
3. HTC 11
The HTC 11 is yet another rumored phone to run the Snapdragon 835 processor. It is also expected to boast a higher RAM size of up to 8 GB. Additionally, it could boast of a 12 MP dual cam system on its rear and an 8 MP camera on its front surface.
4. OnePlus 5
The OnePlus 5 is also expected to run the fastest chipset from Qualcomm which is the Snapdragon 835. It is also rumored to come with an improved set of specs. Needless to say, the most interesting thing about the next OnePlus flagship is probably the fact that it might skip the OnePlus 4 name.
5. Google Pixel 2
The Google Pixel 2 is rumored to be more focused on its camera and waterproofing. Pixel 2 will give priority to low-light photography and added camera features. The megapixels count in the Pixel 2's camera may not be too big but Google will make up for that through new cam features.
