‘Logan’ Release Date, Latest News & Updates: Movie Poster Features Aged, Weary Wolverine

By

Following the massive successes of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and "The Wolverine," "Logan" is surely now being jazzed up quite vigorously as its newest poster has now surfaced. And as it appears, its patient fans are really up for something truly intense.

The grizzly, explosive poster, courtesy of 20th Century Fox, is featuring Hugh Jackman in his most epic Wolverine yet. The older version Logan, who has not been seen by the public that much, has been doing the rounds lately.

In the latest poster, Logan is seen to be staring straight out and quite intensely, ready to pounce. While the grit and chutzpah are certainly there, it can be perused that Wolverine is hinting a certain brokenness.

If you have seen Logan in the previous "X-Men" film installments toting a grown up version of Wolverine, an even more mature version of the Adamantium-laden character is to be expected in "Logan." "Logan" is set to tell the story of the "X-Men" character in the year 2029. It will follow the worn-out Logan as he looks after of a sickly Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a Mexican border while hiding out. His attempts to hide from his past and to the world he once took part of crash down when a young mutant arrives.

In addition, "Logan" will be featuring the eponymous character in a much slower healing factor, an ability Wolverine is known for. The film will be taking inspiration from "Old Man Logan" by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven. The story follows a weary Logan, now past his time, engaging himself once again in what seems to be his final adventure in the post-apocalyptic future.

"Logan" is set to star Jackman, Stewart, Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce), Dafne Keen (Laura Kinney/X-23), Doris Morgado (Maria), and Elizabeth Rodriguez (Gabriela). Richard E. Grant and Stephen Merchant also star.

"Logan" is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017, in the U.S.
