Shia LaBeouf Arrested Amid Live Stream Protest Against Donald Trump

By

Actor Shia LaBeouf had a run-in with the law after he allegedly assaulted a man amidst his live stream protest.

There was one thing getting in the way of the "Transformers" actor's incessant anti-Trump protest, and that's the police. LaBeouf was live-streaming his "He will not divide us" protest until he was interrupted by someone.

This person said something that made the actor upset, right in front of his mounted camera, reports TMZ. This resulted in an angry Shia who allegedly "scratched" the man who interrupted his live stream.

Protesters carry on after disastrous result

NYPD officers quickly attended to the situation by putting the 30-year-old actor in cuffs. The source mentioned that the LaBeouf's followers continued the protest without him.

Some followers even defended LaBeouf's actions saying that the actor "took a hit" for them. It's highly likely that the "Even Stevens" star will be facing assault charges following the altercation.

The actor should also expect more harassment to come considering he plans to keep his anti-Trump protest gong for four years, reported CNN. LaBeouf's "He will not divide us" live-stream protest started since Trump's inauguration day.

Trolls continue to pester the "He will not divide us" live-stream

While Shia is persistent in his anti-trump protest, trolls are just as persistent in ruining it. According to HeatStreet, members of the image board 4Chan tried to crash LaBeouf's protest by incessantly interrupting his live-stream.

The 4chan members frequently whispered jokes and raised meme slogans towards the live-stream camera. LaBeouf even chased one troll who eventually got on his nerves.

With all the controversy it generates, it's uncertain if the actor is willing to keep his protest up for four more years. Apart from constant troll harassment, his movement has resulted in troubles with the law.

Perhaps the Hollywood star might take on a different medium to express his activist views. Or better yet, he might need to take his movement to the silver screen instead of the streets.
