How Marijuana Affects Human Mind, Body?

By

Marijuana is a controversial drug that had been around for a long time. Controlled studies are not available to declare that this prohibited drug is beneficial to the human body. Some areas legalised this substance, and most sectors ban it for its adverse effect on the human mind and body.

The most shared and convenient method to ingest marijuana is through smoke inhalation. The effects happen at its peak in the first thirty minutes. Being in a drunken state will remain in your nerves from two to three hours from ingestion. The first to suffer the adverse effects of marijuana to the mind is memory and concentration. The user tends to experience temporary forgetfulness and becomes inattentive at times. The problem of focus begins.

Constant use of Marijuana will slowly harm the body starting from the lungs. Marijuana abuse has its adverse effects on the human mind and body. The lungs are the reservoir of the smoke inhaled and processed for circulation. Studies found that long-term abuse of marijuana will cause respiratory ailments, schizophrenia, and difficulties in adjusting to people and society. Substance abuse could also lead to irritability and violence, as mentioned in an article in Life Hacker.

One of the adverse effects of marijuana in the human mind and body is getting high. Getting high is the result of perking the neurotransmitters of the brain. The chemical responsible for this upper feeling is called tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. Levels of this Chemical ranges from one to five percent. Veteran poppers will see this as a positive result of their preferred substance, but all the same, it will ruin the mind and body in the long run, according to Live Science.

Experts categorised marijuana in two types: the Cannabis sativa and the Cannabis indica. Sativa is the energising type of weed while indica is the relaxing type of reefer, as reported by an article in Science.Mic.
