Producers Guild of America announces presenters for PGA Awards 2017

By

The Producers Guild of America is gearing up for the conduct of the PGA Awards 2017 and it has now released the final list of presenters for the awards show. The awards night, which will serve as one of the most important precursors to the Academy Awards, has invited some of Hollywood's best and brightest to present the trophies.

According to Deadline, the list of presenters for the Producers Guild of America event includes potential Oscar nominees Casey Affleck, Octavia Spencer, Martin Scorsese, Janelle Monae and Nicole Kidman. Television stars Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Keegan-Michael Key, Rami Malek and Thandie Newton have also been invited to the PGA 2017 podium. Apart from the stars invited to present, it is also expected that honorary award winners like J.J Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Clint Eastwood, Lorne Michaels, Sherry Lansing and Brian Grazer are on hand to receive their respective trophies.

According to the guild's official website, the PGA Awards 2017 is an opportunity for producers in both movies and television to "honor some of the living legends" who shaped the profession. Past PGA winners for the top awards have been successful in the Oscars, which is why it has been called a reliable predictor by many industry pundits.

The Producers Guild of America will be organizing the PGA Awards 2017 on Saturday, January 28, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The Lawyer Herald will be posting more news and updates on the nominees and possible winners of the PGA Awards 2017 in the coming weeks.
