Ted Cruz Proposes Bill To Designate Muslim Brotherhood As Terrorist Organization

By

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) have proposed a bill to ask the US Secretary of State to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

The bill, the "Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act," states that the group is a terrorist organization, and thus should be designated as such.

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928. Many countries, including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, have designated the group as a terrorist organization. Cruz also referenced the organization's goal of civilizational jihad in North America.

Muslim Brotherhood on Jihad

The Muslim Brotherhood motto is: Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.

Hassan Al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, declared all Muslims must make Jihad.

Jihad is an obligation for every Muslim and cannot be evaded nor ignored. Allah gives a lot of importance to jihad and has made the reward of the fighters and martyrs in His way a splendid one. Only those who have acted this way and who have modeled themselves upon the martyrs and fighters in their performance of jihad can join them in this reward.

Even more, Allah has specifically honored the Mujahideen, the warriors who fight jihad, with certain qualities, spiritual and practical, to benefit them in this world and the next one. Their pure blood is seen as a symbol of victory in this world and the mark of success and felicity in the next one.

The Copts and other groups support the Bill

The human rights and advocacy group Coptic Solidarity also supports the Bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. This organization is seen as dangerous in the Western World and even in many muslim countries.
