Singer Kelly Price offers to sing US national anthem if Chris Brown, Soulja Boy boxing match happens

By

This year certainly got off to an interesting start in the music industry as the "beef" between rappers Chris Brown and Soulja Boy have reached new heights. It all began when Brown allegedly called Soulja up after the latter liked an Instagram post of Karrueche Tran, a model-actress who had an on-off relationship with Brown.

What followed was a flurry of low-resolution videos of each rapper trash-talking and calling the other out. Social media became their weapon of choice. However, things escalated from social media exchanges to a possible exchanging of blows when Chris Brown challenged Soulja Boy to a boxing match, which Soulja accepted.

Now, rappers, actors, and even boxing icons have taken sides in what could be an actual boxing match. Floyd Mayweather is teaming up with Soulja Boy while Mike Tyson and Andre Berto are behind Chris Brown. Here is Tyson's post, officially saying he is training Chris Brown.

To add to the already hyped up fight, 50 Cent, who is also the fights promoter and part of Chris Brown's corner, announced that Kelly Price will be singing the national anthem that night. This was confirmed by the six-time Grammy-nominated singer with an Instagram post with the caption "Looking forward to singing the national anthem on fight night with @souljaboy and @chrisbrownofficial Thank you @50cent for trusting me with this!"

The fight has yet to have a set venue or even a date but already it is drawing so much attention just with the people who are already involved. It will most probably happen in Dubai, where fighting regulations are a little less lenient compared to the U.S.

The fact that something so trivial as Soulja Boy liking an Instagram post of Karrueche Tran could exponentially grow into a circus such as this is mind-boggling. What is even funnier is when Tran called out Brown and Soulja on an Instagram comment, Brown practically bit her head off with his reply.
