Amazon Releases Brand New Card For Prime Members

By

Amazon users are no strangers to the portal handing out grand benefits to its Prime members. In a new update, Amazon has rolled out a brand new card.

Users who tend to overstock on Amazon trivia are well aware of the fact that Amazon is already the proud mastermind behind three very successful store cards. However, this did not stop the portal from adding another one to the list.

So what is it about this new store card which makes it so special? Well, for one it is a mouthful. Titled "Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature" card, it is the only one of the bunch that comes crafted in metal as opposed to plastic.

Additionally, the new store card offers a nice bump up on the previous 3% money back on Amazon purchases available on its predecessor: the Amazon.com Rewards Visa, to a full 5%. For the shopaholic, this news sounds like Christmas came early... again.

The other two cards can be used solely on Amazon.com and the few suppliers that make use of Pay with Amazon.

In order to avail the brand new card that was released this Wednesday, interested users need to sign up for Amazon Prime. The service costs $99 every year and comes with the added benefit of free of cost two-day shipping.

Regarding users who are already Prime members and holders of Amazon Rewards Visa card, they will be automatically upgraded to the new release.

According to CNET, the new Visa card also provides 2% cash back on purchases made at drugstores, gas stations or restaurants. On top of that, all other purchases earn the user 1% cash back.

Amazon is on a continuous journey to improve its user experience and make it worthwhile. The new rewards' amplification is a clear indication of the latter now providing Amazon shoppers with 4 branded credit cards for the ultimate user experience.
