CES 2017: Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Toyota Showcase Featured Cars

When it comes to cars, Consumer Electronic Show steals the limelight from another car shows. In CES, various car makers launch their concept cars as well as consumer cars giving a tough fight to every company within the show.


Automakers made headlines this year with companies such as BMW, Ford, Mercedez-Benz showcasing some swanky and featured cars. The following are the five important upgraded cars. Check out if your favorite company is in the list or not:


1. Ford announced that it was adding Alexa to its vehicles:

This feature will let Ford users access Alexa, Amazon's cloud-based voice service, inside the car to do things like checking the weather, add some shopping items, play audio, etc.

2. BMW showcased its new HoloActive Touch system:

This system is also known as " Free Floating" touch system which is managed by hand gestures and not a touchscreen. Little sophisticated, but mostly the system uses sensors to find out where your finger or hand is placed.


3. Mercedes unveiled electric Vision Van for deliveries:

A swanky Van was unveiled by German automaker and its having features like a drone on top of it which automatically detects and delivers packages, a telematics system which can show the update of products which have to be delivered.


4. Honda unveiled its concept car known as the NeuV, which is self-driving and aimed at ride-sharing:

Basically, the two-seater vehicle is self-driving, electric, and is intended at being used for ride-sharing. Apart from this, whenever the owner would not drive the car, NeuV will automatically park and pick up customers to give extra income to the owner.


5. Toyota unveiled a concept car called Concept-i to flaunt an artificial intelligence assistant named Yui:

Yui will basically have a conversation with the driver in case the person is feeling low, or perform various functions so that the driver be attentive on driving only.


These are just five of the many great showcases from the 2017 CES. There are other companies which made headlines at the event such as, Audi announced a partnership with Nvidia to make state-of-the-art AI car in the world. Sources also claimed that Hyundai is going to make foldable scooters in near future.
