Trump to Cap Power of Director of National Intelligence

US President-elect Donald Trump is looking for all possible ways to limit the power of the Director of National Intelligence, according to sources who are close to the transition team.

According to several CNN reports, the main reason of this activity is the DNI was trying to get in the working principles of 16 different intelligence agencies, which include the CIA as well.

President-elect Donald Trump has showed for several times that he is not too much convinced with the intelligence community in the US. But he likewise agree on the intel reports that Russia tried to hack into the intelligence system of the USA during the election to influence the election results.

Trump outgoing predecessor, Barack Obama, was hit by a good amount of criticism regarding the spying system of the CIA. It was reported that the spying protocols of CIA was too much dependent on the NSA's signal intelligence. It also said that the electronic spying system of the CIA is inefficient. Trump will likely prefers human spying system. According to him, it will bring CIA back on track.

The DNI has played an essential role in various intel gathering and field related jobs. At the same time, it has played a major role in the development of the intelligence system of the US.
