Pizza Hut Slashes Mobile Ordering Prices By 50%

The race and the competition to getting more customers is one that has been present since the first companies had ever dipped their hands in advertising. From door-to-door salesmen to fliers, getting the word about your company or business has always been a staple in the business world.

Now that technology has increased heavily over the past couple of decades, the ability to spread your business to other people is just as easy as the click of a button or the touch of a touchscreen. Everyone can be connected to each other these days, making a lot of services easier for a lot of businesses. The same can be said about Pizza Hut. Now that technology has reached a point of simplicity, it's no surprise that Pizza Hut will be hunting after the same share of mobile customers as everyone else.

According to PR Newswire, Pizza Hut, the world's largest pizza company, will be giving away pizza for fans and customers alike to treat themselves and ease the stress off their wallets and bank accounts for a bit and at such a simple method. From January 2 to 9, all menu-priced pizza orders placed online and through the Pizza Hut mobile app will now be 50 percent off. This means one thing, that the customer consumer base can really keep their eyes locked on -- a fuller belly at a cheaper price.

As reported by CNBC, Dough Terfehr, senior director of public relations and partnerships at Pizza Hut, stated that Pizza Hut is constantly scouring and searching for more ways to make ordering from them simpler and easier to access. The source goes on to say that Pizza Hut, like many other competitors, was an early adopter of the digital and mobile ordering. To add to this, Pizza Hut has noted that its purchases online versus an in-door check were much higher, around 20-30 percent. On top of it all, it seems that with the direction technology was moving, it only made sense that Pizza Hut began moving in on the mobile department to increase their sales. If there is anything to merit from their bold business strategy, it is that sales are moving and changing and Pizza Hut knows how to cast the iron while it is still hot.
