UFC star Ronda Rousey and her former manager Darin Harvey have reached a settlement following the defamation lawsuit. The American female mixed martial artist was sued by her ex-manager alleging she defamed his character on her autobiography book.

Rousey, the UFC women's bantamweight champion has accepted a settlement agreement on Wednesday, to make "extremely minor" changes on her autobiography book titled, Rousey: My Fight/Your Fight, so that legal actions will be prevented, according to Bleacher Report. Harvey issued a statement regarding the book.

"During the four years we worked together, Ronda easily won all her amateur fights, went 8-0 as a professional, became the first woman to sign with the UFC, and landed roles in several feature films. Her book failed to acknowledge the important role I played in all of that and, in my view, defamed me in several respects," Harvey said.

The lawyer representing Rousey, Alexander Polyachenko, said that the terms of the settlement wassupposed to be confidential. Polyachenko also added that the said minor changes will not affectthe book's "theme or flow."

The changes will not only be applied to the book, but also to the paperback, ebook and audiobook versions of Rousey's autobiography future printings, Yahoo Sports reported. The lawyer for Rousey alsosaid though, it was said that the settlement will not be disclosed in the public, and that the plaintiffhad no right to reveal it.

Rousey and her publishing company, Regan Arts, both agreed to the terms, however, the company refused to make comments about the issue. Harvey and Rousey also already settled their contract lawsuit with undisclosed amount in February, according to MMA Junkie.

The sides previously disagreed over money Harvey claimed to invest in Rousey, as part of an agreement that the former manager felt covered earnings from fighting and other commercial interests. Settling the autobiography complaint without having to go the legal route is one less distraction as shestarts preparing for her return.
