Johnny Depp And Wife Scoffed At Dog Apology Video

Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard faced a trial in Australia's Gold Coast for breaking the country's strict quarantine laws. The couple smuggled their pet terriers into Australia. During their court appearance, Amber Heard was punished by a good behavior bond of A$1,000.

Depp maybe depressed but made light of the apology on Sunday in UK to an audience of reporters while he promotes his new film, Alice Through The Looking Glass.

"I'm going to do this everywhere I go. I would really like to apologize for not smuggling in my dogs into England, because it would've been a bad thing to do," Depp said, as quoted by Mashable.

The court let off his wife with a good behaviour bond just last month after pleading guilty of falsification of travel documents to sneak in their pet dogs, Pistol and Boo. An apology to Australia was made by the couple through a short video emphasizing the importance of quarantine to protect Australia.

The apology video took about 42 seconds and was mocked to a great extent because of its impassive tone and Depp's significant odd manner similar to a hostage situation according to comedian Ricky Gervais, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

As an agriculture minister, Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce warns to eradicate the dogs last year. He cited Depp's video performance is not worth for an Oscar's award. He called it atrocious and claimed that he (Joyce) could have done it a little better. He said that protecting Australia is more important than the dogs.

Based on the Mail Online report, the court cleared Heard of charges of importing animals illegally and for not putting the dogs under proper quarantine procedures. Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce warned to have the pups euthanized if not immediately deported.

Anyone who has watched the couple's apology video for smuggling their pets to Australia can be clearly seen that they are not happy and do not agree that is why they made their feelings revealed.
