Charlie Sheen's Defense Lawyer Urges Court Judge to Reject Ex-Girlfriend's TRO Extension Request

The lawyer representing actor Charlie Sheen has asked a court judge to oppose his former girlfriend and her lawyers' request to extend a temporary restraining order filed against the actor. He told the judge that the restraining order filing was just to get media attention.

Attorney Martin D. Singer stated on his court filing on Monday that Scottine Ross' TRO was filed in order to keep her civil case against Sheen in the news, ABC News reported. Singer also wrote that his client has not made contact with her for over a year.

Rossi, Sheen's former girlfriend, filed a lawsuit against the former "Two and a Half Men" actor for failing to disclose his HIV status to her. The former porn star was granted with a restraining order after the actor made death threats to her.

The former couple got engaged back in November 2013 and ended their relationship in October 2014. According to USA Today, Sheen accused Rossi of extortion as she is one of the women who want to get money from him after his HIV positive status was revealed. However, Rossi claimed Sheen never gave her $1 million as settlement and told her to do an abortion as he was afraid that the baby would have HIV.

Singer went on, stating that Sheen has no intention to communicate with Rossi "and wants nothing to do with her." The lawyer added that Rossi cannot let go and "insists upon remaining a nuisance" in his client's life. Rossi is seeking the order following a media report from RadarOnline about an audio recording from Sheen, making a threat against her.

The LAPD is investigating the alleged threat, which reportedly began on the 31st of March, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Police has obtained search warrant, however, they refused to discuss the location in details. Despite the reports of the recording, Sheen's lawyer calls Rossi's allegations unfounded.

Rossi, a former adult-film actress who performed under the name Brett Rossi, is also suing Sheen, accusing the actor of assault and battery.
