Sophia Tilley Charged with Cocaine Possession Following Past Car Crash Case

By

After her car crash incident involving Margaret Cunneen, Sophia Tilley now faces cocaine possession charges in Sydney's east. The Australian socialite has her hands full after the authorities apprehended her with a certain amount of the drug, as she is to face the law in the not-so-distant future.

According to Daily Mail, Sophia Tilley was reported have been standing outside the Bellevue Hill with a group of her friends last April 8th when police claim to have found her with a small amount of cocaine. The authorities clarified that the retrieved amount of cocaine was supposedly less than a gram, but still an apprehensible charge of drug possession nonetheless.

9 News delivered it can be recalled that Ms. Tilley still has an apparent run-in with the law, as she was involved in a vehicle-related case last May 31, 2014 wherein she was hit by another vehicle in Wiloughby on Sydney's north shore. As for the car, it was knocked onto its side and rendered Ms. Tilley trapped in her seat belt for quite a time.

The case's severity further went on when high-profile prosecutor Margaret Cunneen was suspected to have messaged Ms. Tilley to somewhat fake chest pains to avoid being put through breath test by the police.

As per Sydney Morning Herald, Cunneen's son, Stephen Wyllie, dated Ms. Tilley, explaining the connection of the two. Generally, the point of blame continued to be redirected by Ms. Cunneen, given that she claims to have been 'joking' or speaking in a sarcastic manner in telling Ms. Tilley to fake her chest pains at the time.

Ms. Cunneen was quoted on her defense, saying, "My only reservation, between you and me, is that that naughty girl had alcohol had, oh no that's alright, I can cover that...But she had drunk, she's on her P Plates. But it had been some time ago which is why I sent her the message to start having chest pains and get the ambulance because it's bought her a few more hours. Just hoping it goes down to zero 'cause otherwise there might be complicated insurance issues."

Ms. Tilley's recent cocaine charges validated her to face the Waverley Local Court next month. The 'fake chest pain' case with Ms. Cunneen remains to be given a final verdict for the time being.
