The Van Wert County Ohio sheriff's department arrested Tamera Menke on Friday morning and charged her with murder in the death of Barbara Robinson, authorities said, as reported by fortwayne.com. Other charges against the 47-year-old Menke are pending.
Menke had shot another victim, who was brought to Wert County Hospital, news reports said.
Menke was taken into custody by deputies just after 10 a.m, news reports said. She is the prime suspect for Robinson's murder that occurred Thursday evening in Van Wert.
Van Wert Police Department arrived at 223 S. Fulton St where they discovered two people shot by another person who fled the scene, news reports said. Police have not released the victims' names.
According to law enforcement officers Menke fled in a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier, and was armed with a .22 caliber rifle.
