Former New York Socialite Tinsley Mortimer is on downward spiral. Mortimer was captured by police authorities in the house of her on-and-off boyfriend, Alexander 'Nico' Fanjul, the son of billionaire sugar baron Alexander Fanjul in Palm Beach over trespassing.
According to News .com.au, cops were called at the residence of Fanjul because Mortimer arrived at the place, uninvited. Fanjul was reportedly with his new girlfriend. Mortimer was "crying and screaming irrationally" when the cops seized her. She was immediately booked at the Palm Beach County Jail and was charged with trespassing. The former star of "High Society" stayed at the jail for three hours before she was released.
"Tinsley and Nico broke up, and she cannot get over it. She sat on his doorstep for hours and banged on the door. She was frantic and very upset. Finally they called the police to get her out of there," the source told PEOPLE. "She's not a bad person, but she was too upset to be thinking rationally."
Mortimer who's 10 years senior to Fanjul was said to be dating, but had split recently. People who both know the estranged couple claimed that they had an unhealthy relationship. Mortimer, who was formerly married to the great-grandson of the director of Standard Oil, Robert Mortimer, had several brushes with the law. Police records show that there's been four police reports, one arrest and a written warning recorded in the Palm Beach Police department, Perthnow.com.au claims. It was obviously a complicated for Mortimer, who reportedly wanted Fanjul back into her life despite the abuse.
Mortimer was once the most photographed socialite in New York City. The daughter of a real estate investor, George Riley Mercer Jr. appeared in the episode of "Gossip Girl." In 2008, one of Dior lipsticks was named after her, the Tinsley Pink. She also had her own brands of clothing and handbags. After divorcing her husband, she authored a novel entitled, "Southern Charm."
Mortimer has yet to comment on the latest charges against her. Her former boyfriend, Constantine Maroulis said that all Mortimer has to do is, "to love herself more, and respect herself more, and find someone who's going to care about her."
