"Game of Thrones" alums Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick have landed the lead roles in the season one of Marvel's "Iron Fist". Aside from them, "Lord of the Rings" actor David Wenham has been cast as the man responsible for the death of the Hero Iron Fist's father. The series is speculated to be release around February - April 2017.
"Game of Thrones" alum Finn Jones has landed the role of the titular hero for the first season of Marvel's "Iron Fist". According to Design n Trend, the 28-year-old English actor will portray the role of Danny Rand aka the hero, Iron Fist.
Jones joins along with "GoT" co-star Jessica Henwick who has been cast as a female lead in the season premiere of Marvel's "Iron Fist". The 23-year-old English actress will portray the role of Colleen Wing. Colleen happens to be a skilled martial arts expert, sword fighter, private detective and a critical ally to the titular hero. She is the daughter of a Chinese-American professor and a Japanese mother, Deadline has cited.
In addition, "Lord of the Rings" alum David Wenham officially joins the cast of Marvel's "Iron Fist". According to The Huffington Post Australia, the 50-year-old Australian actor will portray the role of Harold Meachum. Harold happens to be a ruthless corporate titan who was responsible for the death of his former business partner Wendell Rand, Danny's father.
Harold then took control of the Rand's company while Danny heads on to Kun-Lun City to master Kung Fu and the ability to summon the power of the fiery Iron Fist. The upcoming superhero series will focus on Danny's return to New York City after he went missing for how many years.
The production of Marvel's "Iron Fist" is set to begin this month. As of now, he executive producers and Netflix is yet to announce the official scheduled launch of the superhero series. However, speculations suggest that the season premiere will air around February, March, or April 2017.
