Rumors surfaced online that Lindsay Lohan is finally engaged to her Russian beau, Egor Tarabasov. Internet was flooded with messages of best wishes from fans.
According to TMZ, the "Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan is already engaged to her Russian boyfriend, Egor Tarabasov. The engagement reportedly happened over the weekend when Tarabasov popped the question to which Lohan answered it with her sweet "yes." Messages of congratulations and best wishes to the actress and her boyfriend flooded the internet after the rumor was released.
However, People confirmed that Lohan is NOT engaged. As a matter of fact, her rep, Hunter Frederick, told in a statement, "The story is untrue and holds no merit." Furthermore, one of Lohan's close friend also reached out to People to say that engagement rumor is not true.
In an article released by E!, Lohan said that she is happy with Tarabasov but she doesn't know him that much. "I haven't known Egor for that long," Lohan said. "We've been together for about seven months. He is a great guy. I met him in the summer. I am really happy."
While the engagement is untrue, their relationship getting more serious is true. According to a source, "They are moving in together to a bigger place, and they seem to be getting more serious." Also, Tarabasov already got the approval of Lohan's family when they spent the holidays with the family.
According to News, Lohan's father feels good about the couple and believes that Tarabasov is a good influence to Lohan. "He has a lot of strong connections in Russia - these are big people and they're very supportive," Michael, Lohan's father said. "He wants things to be in the right place for Lindsay and he's wise beyond his years," he added. As for her mother, Dina, "He's an only child and I just FaceTimed with them and his mum a few days ago. He's cool and he's very mature for his age. He's older than his years. Being an only child and travelling the world educates you in other ways. He's not about celebrity or anything, which is really important."
Lohan and Tarabasov met in London. Lohan, 29, was involved in several controversies in the U.S. and after she officially finished her probationary period for her legal cases, she decided to transfer to London and live a low profile life. On the other hand, Tarabasov, 22, is working in London. Tarabasov is the son of a multi-millionaire businessman in Moscow. The two met through a mutual friend and began dating.
