HTC releases new flagship HTC 10 smartphone with best camera ever and more

HTC's newest handset with the best phone camera ever dubbed as HTC 10 is here.

According to knowyourmobile, the next handset from HTC will be called HTC 10. And it will be released on April 12. What do consumers expect from HTC 10? No less than a lot. In 2016 Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 raised the bar for smartphones with awesome specs and plenty of unique features, especially the G5.

And HTC 10 cannot possibly look the competition in the eye without a complete rethink, if not reengineering, of its flagship phone. While last year's HTC One M9 was adequate, it left much to be desired.

The HTC 10 is expected to feature a dramatically improved camera with enhanced processing power via the Snapdragon 820, 3-4GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner, big improvements to Sense and, hopefully, some big leaps forward with regards to battery performance.

HTC is pushing the handset hard ahead of the big reveal, indicating it is confident with what it has created and that the HTC 10 could well have some unique properties in comparison to its fellow Android brethren. A design refresh, better imaging, developments to BoomSound and a large Huawei Mate 8-style battery are the least to be expected from the HTC 10.

International Business Times said that the HTC is obsessed with getting the battery of the HTC 10 right given their experience with last year's M9 which prompted The Verge to call it the world's most beautiful disappointment.

The HTC 10 is also reported by the Christian Daily to feature the best phone camera ever. The teaser reviewed by the site presented another speculation that the upcoming HTC phone will have a 5.15-inch display with HD resolution. The alleged specs are believed to compete with LG and Samsung as it is expected to also be powered with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

With all that speculation doing the rounds online, everything will be known in the big reveal in New York, London and Taipei that will trend under the hashtag #powerof10 - so there's the hint that it is 100% about the HTC One M10.
