The Banner Saga 2 PC Release Date on April 19 Confirmed; Stoic Studios to Introduce New Race and Characters

By

Stoic Stuidio's The Banner Saga 2 has reached a point in which gamers are to simply wait for news about itself. Now that the time may have come for more details to emerge, fans are to prepare themselves for a good-news-bad-news scenario for the game's entirety, including the release date.

As per Techno Buffalo, The Banner Saga 2 is said to be released for both the PC and Mac via Steam next month. One of the bigger concerns of the game is the availability of the title for all the types of hardware in which it is supposedly to be released to.

According to Engadget, the initial price of the game lands at $19.99 during launch but there will be a bundle that comprises of the game's soundtrack and costs a nifty $24.99 upon release. Typical among all Steam-launched titles, The Banner Saga 2 will have a 10% discount for the first week, with the prices dropping to about $17.99 and $22.49 upon calculation.

Noted by Digital Trends, a lot will be on the line for The Banner Saga 2 as it rolls on, and Stoic looks to deliver as promised in the past. The traditional Viking-themed approach is sustained, and there will be a more choice-based outcome delivery in the story, said to be harder than the first game. There will also be new characters, and a new race known as the Horseborn.

Additionally, the strategy implied in the game will determine consequences along the way; some that will linger due to being a permanently lost character. The matters that lie in the journey will also be a factor for an entire civilization's survival, not just for the player itself.

The Banner Saga 2 is slated for release for the PC and Mac on April 19th. No word for the other forms of hardware has been given out, but Stoic Studios gives their word that it will not take long.
