A Utah woman has filed a lawsuit against a polygamy reality TV show after the latter allegedly barged into her house without her permission.

According to Las Vegas Sun, a woman who is a part of the polygamous group alleges in a lawsuit that the makers of the reality TV show barged into her house without her consent and forced her daughter to participate in the series. The plaintiff was identified as Susan Nelson who claimed that the same people offered her daughter money for every episode she'll be starring. Nelson added that a specific amount of $5,000 per episode was offered to appear in the 'Escaping Polygamy' which airs on A&E network's LMN channel.

Nelson specifically accused the camera man and cast of the show of trespassing as reported by Daily Astorian. The accusation happened in her house within Salt Lake City suburb during December 2014. The plaintiff's daughter who was a young adult at the time, initially agreed on participating however, had second thoughts and decided that she didn't want to leave that day. Nelson claimed that the makers of the show defamed her in the episode about the events that aired in July 2015.

A&E Network and RIVR Media, the two companies being sued, declined to comment regarding the lawsuit, ABC News Go wrote. The series that the studio has produced focuses on three sisters who left a northwestern Utah-based polygamous group, the Kingstons, over a decade ago. Now, the sisters are helping other leave the polygamous situation as they consider this kind of lifestyle abusive.

The series is one of the known polygamy-related TV reality shows produced in the recent years. The most famous one is TLC's 'Sister Wives.'

Nelson's statement indicates she suffered heart issues due to the incident happened and the airing of the controversial episode. However, the lawsuit didn't specify the amount Nelson is seeking for damages.
