Creative Assembly's supposed Halo Wars 2 was only once a presumption, but as of recently, the involved heads of the game became quite more frank with the title's proceeding. After quite a time that the first game has been around, fans of the strategic title have wanted more and the time may have come for the continuity to step forth.
According to The Bit Bag, gamers that tailed the very first Halo Wars title were rather eager to have a second title along the way after the success of the original. It didn't take long before rumors of the second title went viral online and have stirred so much attention, but it was not until recently that Creative Assembly confirmed that the speculation can now come to a stop.
As per Vine Report, Halo Wars 2 is indeed coming to the fans this year, and Xbox Head Phil Spencer who also goes by the name Major Nelson, spoke of Halo Wars 2's launch which is around fall of 2016. Spencer claimed that strategy games have been quite cast aside for the consoles as of recently, and the entire team believes that they need to work further in making the said strategy title better.
It was noted by Attack of the Fan Boy, those who have been concerned with the well-being of the first game are also wondering if the second title will be as hardware-friendly as what Xbox did; making the original Halo Wars backward compatible. If possible, Xbox users may be treated to a potential Future Compatibility which is being proposed to the company as of late.
Halo Wars 2, along with the first, was not originally held by the Halo franchise developer 343 Industries. Up to this day, both companies are showing quite a feat of strength with their high caliber titles, especially Halo 5: Guardians which gets a good dose of downloadable content updates.
