Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE is finally bound for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update via Android Open Source (AOSP). With AOSP, the phone is slated to get a roster of exclusive features and customization options.
Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE with model number I9505 took its road to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via AOSP custom update. Although there is nothing fancy that the firmware can offer to the phone, AOSP is vowed to come stable, fast and smooth along with its tweaks and customization options.
However, AOSP is still in beta stage which could possibly bring the phone to some issues. For those who want to proceed with the installation though can do so, but be reminded of the following guidelines:
- Do not use the ROM to other devices;
- Install TWRP or CWM Recovery on the phone.
- Back up all necessary data here or via Samsung KIES;
- Do a Dalvik Cache wipe before leaving the recovery mode;
- Samsung KIES can no longer detect the device after installing the ROM; and
- Installing any custom ROM including this one induces risk of damaging device. Neither this site nor developers of the firmware will be held responsible for such damage.
