Konami's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has gone through many issues over the course of many months with both the constructive and the not-so, along the way. The opinions that many have come to conclude claim that the previous title or the others before may be better than the current generation's take, but again, all of which are still debatable.
According to What Culture, one of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's notable predecessors namely, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, is still called by many as the better continuity compared to the existing title. Many factors are known to be considered before the judgment but some claim that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain may have fallen short of. Such are the means of escaping adversaries, losing the solo-flight commando essence and even the quick identification that it is indeed an MGS game. In these aspects, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes may have been better than Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but the journey has not ended for the current title.
It was delivered by IGN that fans have enjoyed the addition of Metal Gear Solid Online's downloadable content update, specifically Cloaked in Silence. As the game permits the players to use the stealthy Quiet, there are also new maps, the Coral Complex, Rust Palace and Azure Mountain. More importantly, the update brings forth the Survival mode which revolves around win streaks.
In other Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain news, as per Gaming Bolt, it has continued to bug the Konami fans that Hideo Kojima, one of the former collaborators of Konami that worked on the Metal Gear Solid franchise, did not receive the DICE award for the game. The issue was not quite as heavy, but the fact that Kojima was not acknowledged during a previous event was quite a rubble to the avid fans of the company. Clarifications came out that Kojima refused to accept it since he no longer works for Konami, and would not want to get in the way of receiving it, due to the absence of a representative.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain still does not have a confirmed continuity for the moment. Keep posted for more news on the existing Konami title.
