Five Nights at Freddy's 5 In The Works? FNaF World Next Major Update Sees Addition of Halloween Antimatronics, The Purple Guy and More

Well-known FNAF developer Scott Cawthon has recently made an announcement on the Five Nights at Freddy's World upcoming Update 2. Cawthon has also teased the development of his two projects that are yet to be introduced to the gaming public soon prompting most of the fans that Five Nights at Freddy's 5 could be in the works.

Cawthon has confirmed this exciting news via a post on Five Nights At Freddy's 4 Steam community forums. Not much details were revealed but it does give fans a clue on what the future holds for the horror video game series.

With regard to the FNaf World update 2, he revealed saying, "Update 2 is still happening. Keep in mind that I have three projects in the works right now, [and] Update 2 is just one of them." Additionally, the developer guaranteed his loyal fans out there that there will be "lots of good things are happening, so please be patient."

A month ago, first set of screenshots were released hinting that the next major update will add a number of new characters to the RPG which shall include Halloween Edition animatronics, the Purple Guy as well as Cawthon's avatar. Based on the said announcement, these new features packed in the new patch will arrive soon, however, it was not as soon enough as fans expected, Design and Trend wrote.

In more news, Cawthon has continued to drop teasers on his official website in the past few weeks where the plan is to release the title's letters one by one over a period of time. Fans have varied speculations but what could be closer to reality is the introduction of a completely new franchise or better yet, Five Nights at Freddy's 5.

Five Nights At Freddy's 4 was released in July 2015 for PC, Android and iOS while the spin-off title FNAF World RPG was launched and downloadable for free on Windows PC and mobile devices in January this year.
