Gears of War 4: The Coalition Says Game is "Dark, But Not Horror"; Fans React on FPS Issues

By

The Coalition's Gears of War 4 has revealed very little about itself for the past number of months, transpiring from the end of the third title. Now that the developer can disclose a little bit more to the world, Gears of War 4 can explain more about what the fans can expect from the fourth continuity.

As per Game Rant, the entire team behind Gears of War 4's reveal trailer showed the world a piece of what the game will be like in the near future. Apparently, some fans think that the game will be more inclined towards the survival horror genre, though The Coalition defended the original concept of the game.

According to Game Spot, Producer Rod Fergusson clarified via social media that they are opting to go for a much darker tone but not entirely a horror game which was thought of. The game will contain new creatures to set a different standard to the game and despite the appearance of the monstrosities, The Coalition provided new weapons as well to take on the "things that go bump in the night".

In other Gears of War 4 news, IGN noted that a recent debate has gone on regarding the game's existing frame rate. It was told that the campaign mode of the game will run at 30fps, whereas the more interactive multiplayer mode will be at 60fps. Naturally, fans attested to the approach, but The Coalition has not responded to the said claim.

Gears of War 4 still does not have any specific release date yet. The initial setting of the game's launch is by the end of 2016 at the earliest, but fans speculate on the title to arrive a little later during the early parts of 2017. Nonetheless, Gears of War 4 has been confirmed and will arise for the awaiting fans that tail the series.
