Guy Ritchie Wants Madonna To Pay His Legal Fees Amidst Child Custody Battle

Madonna and Guy Ritchie's child custody battle is going nastier. New reports claimed that the English director now wants Madonna to pay his mounting legal fees over their dispute with their 15-year-old son Rocco.

Daily Mail reported on Sunday that Ritchie's lawyers sent a letter to Madonna asking her to pay his legal fees. The request reportedly made the "Rebel Heart" singer extremely upset because she wouldn't help anyone especially the man who would take her son away from her. Another insider claimed that it's somewhat surprising that Ritchie would demand something like that given how successful he is. It is said that the Madonna and Ritchie's child custody battle could costs hundreds of thousands of pounds.

As per the source, "It's a lawsuit Guy instigated and now wants Madonna to pay. Madonna says she gave him £50 million and an estate in Wiltshire when they divorced and she thinks that is quite enough. She can't believe he is cheeky enough to ask her for the money. It is simply illogical to expect her to pay towards lawyers who want to have her son taken away from her."

Madonna and Ritchie's child custody battle follows their argument when Rocco failed to return to the United States when he decided to live with his dad in London in December, Womans Day claims. The "Vogue" singer attempted several times to have her son return to the U.S. but she failed. Madonna also filed a case under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Earlier this month, Justice Alistair MacDonald requested that Madonna and Ritchie's child custody battle would be settled amicably for the sake of their son.

"It would be my fervent hope that discussions between the parties can reach an amicable resolution," he said. "An amicable negotiated resolution is definitely the way forward and in Rocco's best interests."

Meanwhile, according to Sky News, the singer reportedly wants the case in England to be finalized. Madonna reportedly accepted the fact that she had lost custody over her son. On Thursday, lawyers revealed that she told judge that she wants to heal the wounds brought by the custody battle. They also said that the singer wants to end the case and just have a private litigation in the Family Division. After Madonna and Ritchie's child custody battle, she allegedly wants to restore peace in the family.

The judge in New York analyzing Madonna and Ritchie's child custody battle has similar views as the judge in England. The judge reportedly wants the former couple to reach an agreement.
