Latest 'Prison Break' revival updates reveal that Augustus Prew, Rick Yune and Steve Mouzakis are joining the cast. Meanwhile, Wentworth Miller teases that the continuation will have a 5 year time jump, after the 2009's ending.
After 'Prison Break' ended 2009 with a huge cliffhanger, many are then wondering if Michael Scofield will return from the dead. Before the revival will air, some cast and crew members are already teasing what lies ahead in the continuation.
In a report by Melty, Michael Scofield will return from the dead. As mentioned, Fernando, C-Note, Lincoln and Sara will search and rescue Michael where is jailed after he faked his death.
But 'Prison Break' revival will not pick up where it was left off. There will be a 5 year time jump and it will feature what the characters are doing after those years. The information has been spoiled by actor Wentworth Miller in an interview. He said that based on his conversation with writer Paul Scheuring, now the showrunner, the storyline for revival will certainly not pick up events in 2009 finale. It will rather take place after 5 years.
Miller also responded to the question if the controversial ending would be ignored. He said that it all be incorporated during the revival. He added, "I like to believe that we can honor the story that's been told, and not to a dream sequence kinda thing, because the audience would not appreciate that."
Meanwhile, another latest 'Prison Break' revival update reveals that new members are added to the cast. Actors Augustus Prew, Rick Yune and Steve Mouzakis are set for major recurring roles in the continuation.
According to TVLine, Prew will play Whip, who is described as funny, crazy (read: lethal) and pretty damn sharp. Yune, on the other hand, will portray a character named Ja, a Korean identity thief whose disheveled appearance belies his genius.
Mouzakis, meanwhile, will play Van Gogh, a bad-ass nut-job. According to Deadline, they will join the returning stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. It will be exec-produced by Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead, as well as writers Paul Scheuring who is also now the series showrunner.
