Tour Bus Crash: Da Zhen Travel Agency Vehicle Headed for a Casino Rolls Over 20 Miles Near the San Gabriel Freeway (Video)

About 50 people were injured Thursday when a tour bus heading for a casino rolled over about twenty miles northeast of Los Angeles in the town of Irwindale, the Huffington Post reported.

The tour bus driver involved in a crash that inured dozens on a Southern California made "an unsafe lane change," struck a car before overturning in a ditch, the California Highway Patrol said on Friday, as reported by NBC. 52 bus passengers were on-the bus, and a majority of the injuries were minor. The adults on the bus were between the ages of 60 and 80.

The tour bus bound hit a Hyundai Elantra, then overcorrected to the right in the 10 a.m. crash on the Foothill Freeway near the San Gabriel Freeway, Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Van Valkkenburgh, said.

The 55-year-old bus driver was not charged in the crash. Jinquan Yang had been properly licensed.

"The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing but we're more concerned with injured people right now," Officer Saul Gomez from CHP said. "We did have some trauma that were airlifted... to transport victims. Luckily, none are life-threatening and the situation is stabile."

The bus was from Da Zhen Travel Agency in Monterey Park, which the company says it provides "all kinds of group types and trips, such as Las Vegas trips, local Casino trips, local transfers, airport service, long distance charters, weddings and much more."

The overturned bus had been headed to the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino, news reports said.
