Florida police found a dead body of a male inside the Jupiter Florida home belonging to singer Olivia Newton John and her husband, CBS News reported. Authorities believe the man had shot and killed himself.
The Palm Beach Post reported that contractors working on the house had been crying once they discovered the 42-year-old's body. Nonetheless, Jupiter Police Department spokesman Sgt. Scott Pascarella said that the man did not live at the residence, nor was related to the homeowners.
Police continue to investigate the case. The body was found shortly after noon on Monday.
Newton John, a 4-time Grammy Award winner, and her husband reportedly bought the nearly 7,500-square-foot house in 2009 for $4.1 million, according to the Telegraph. It is about 35 miles from the coast. She is also a four-time Grammy winner.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday. Additional details concerning the deceased man's name as well as the cause of death will be made available in due time, news reports said.
